CFPB invites stakeholders to create open banking framework

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is calling on financial services players to help shape a framework for data sharing ahead of open banking in the U.S. The CFPB finalized a rule on June 5 outlining the qualifications for acceptable “standard setters,” which include nine or fewer financial institutions, consumer advocacy groups, small businesses, and large corporations.
