Here is a graph of home affordability (higher is more affordable) and the year-over-year change in home affordability through May 2024. By this measure, housing is essentially the least affordable it has been since the Atlanta Fed began tracking home affordability (October 2023 was slightly less affordable than May 2024). Note that the Atlanta Fed is projecting income.
