DOL (Department of Labor) report:
In the week ending August 3, Seasonally adjusted new claims were 233,000.The weekly average was 17,000 cases lower than the previous week’s revised figure. The previous week’s average was revised upward by 1,000 cases to 250,000 cases from 249,000. The four-week moving average was 240,750 cases, up 2,500 cases from the previous week’s revised figure. The previous week’s average was revised upward by 250 cases to 238,250 cases from 238,000.
