CHICAGO, October 1, 2024 — One in four women and one in seven men face relationship abuse during their lifetime. For about 20 years, allstate foundation has empowered survivors through strategic grants, employee training, and dynamic partnerships with relationship abuse nonprofits across the country. As the nation focuses on Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Allstate Foundation proudly highlights its efforts and trusted partnerships designed to help more survivors live free from abuse.
- Advanced customer care training: Customized training developed with long-term partners National Domestic Violence Hotlineto enable Allstate’s front-line employees to better recognize and assist those who may be in crisis.
- Domestic Violence Advocates Conference: Allstate Foundation Proudly Supports This national gathering in Chicagohosted by the National Domestic Violence Hotline, unites advocates, allies, and survivors to share expertise, foster connections, and strengthen support networks.
- GirlTREK and Ujima partnership: Allstate Foundation is In partnership with Uzima and GirlTREK, a leading nonprofit focused on Black women’s health, we will host a solidarity walk and share new resources to support survivors and their loved ones. Allstate employees also walk in solidarity in the annual Sprint & Stride 5K.
- Support for survivors at work: The Allstate Foundation is hosting an important panel, “Supporting Victims of Relationship Abuse in the Workplace,” to guide business leaders in fostering a supportive work environment for domestic violence survivors.
- Address to men Breakfast: Held at Soldier Field this touching event Sponsored by the Allstate Foundation, the organization challenges harmful norms with a focus on respect and empowerment for all.
- YWCA Week Without Violence: of annual campaign Supporting national efforts to combat violence against women and girls, Foundation grants support 30 local YWCA operations and strengthen community efforts to prevent local violence.
