This graph shows the number of reported deaths by week (vertical bars).
We met our original goal of stopping posting weekly death counts, but we are continuing to post because deaths have exceeded our goal again.
Although the weekly death toll is currently on the decline and will likely continue to decline based on wastewater sampling, it is still more than double the low of 302 in early June.

This appears to be a leading indicator of hospitalization and death from the new coronavirus.
Concentrations of the coronavirus in wastewater are quite low, only about 50% higher than the lowest levels seen last May, suggesting that the number of weekly deaths will continue to decline.
