Sony Electronics Singapore is partnered crypto.com To accept USDC payments on the official online platform, Sony Store Online.
Singaporean customers can now purchase directly through crypto.com payments using stablecoin awarded in USD.
This will make Sony Electronics the country’s first home appliance brand to integrate direct crypto payments through its platform.
The initiative is part of Sony’s efforts to diversify payment options and respond to the growing adoption of digital currency.
The company said it plans to expand support for other cryptocurrencies in the future, allowing users to purchase directly from their crypto balances.
To mark the launch, Sony is promoting users who pay with Crypto.com Pay until April 30, 2025.
Customers who spend at least S$100 can receive 20 USDC credits, limited to the first 150 users, while users who spend over S$300 can receive free Linkbuds speakers, limited to the first 50 users.
Shoppers who meet both criteria may be eligible for both rewards and are eligible for availability.
Crypto.com reports that it has over 140 million users in 90 countries.
