Sabre Corporation, a leading software and technology provider powering the global travel industry, has announced a new agreement with Sun Siyam Resorts, the renowned Maldivian-owned and founded hospitality group with over 30 years of experience owning and managing five affordable luxury private island properties in the Maldives and a beach boutique resort on the east coast of Sri Lanka, has selected Sabre Hospitality’s comprehensive suite of solutions from SynXis, a leading global commerce and distribution platform, to expand both reach and revenue.
Sabre’s SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS) serves as the foundation of San Siyam’s distribution infrastructure. The addition of SynXis Channel Connect, GDS connectivity and the SynXis Booking Engine will enable San Siyam Resorts to seamlessly distribute its room inventory not only to its own direct channels, but also to an extensive network of travel agents around the world, more than 600 global OTAs, global distribution systems including Sabre’s own, and major global metasearch engines such as Google, TripAdvisor and Kayak. The brand has also subscribed to Sabre Hospitality’s corporate booking tool, enabling travel agents to manage wholesale bookings for the hotel.
Additionally, SynXis Retailing empowers Sun Siyam to personalize the booking process, providing guests with curated experiences, amenities and wellness options during the booking process. The chain offers a variety of experiences including whale watching, fishing, elephant safaris and sandbar dining. Through SynXis Retailing, they are able to enhance their guests’ pre-stay planning while expanding revenue opportunities.

Founded in 1990 by Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, San Siyam Resorts currently owns five resort properties in the Maldives and the boutique beach resort San Siyam Pasikudah on the east coast of Sri Lanka, which is due to reopen in late 2023 after an extensive renovation.
