From the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau: Las Vegas visitor statistics for May 2024
More than 3.6 million visitors came to the city in May, showing healthy growth, driven by festivals like EDC and higher convention attendance than last year. This month’s figure was up 4.6% from the previous year.
Among the rotating trade shows, Waste Expo returned to Las Vegas in May (14,000 attendees, last time in May 2022), and the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo returned to Las Vegas for the first time (over 10,000 attendees).
The hotel’s overall occupancy reached 86.1% (up 1.7 percentage points), with weekend occupancy at 93.4% (up 0.2 percentage points) and weekday occupancy at 82.5% (up 1.7 percentage points). ADR exceeded $200 and RevPAR exceeded $172, representing year-over-year increases of 9.1% and 11.3%, respectively.

Visitor numbers increased by 4.6% compared to May last year. Visitor numbers decreased by 0.9% compared to the same month in 2019.
