Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards are the only program in the world dedicated to restaurant wine service. The awards are divided into three levels: Excellence Award, Best of the Best and Best of the Best, and this year there were 2,150, 1,531 and 96 winners in each category.
The Award of Excellence recognises restaurants that feature wines from a carefully selected range of high-quality wine producers on their list that match the theme of their menu in terms of both price and style.
