Advance figures for the week ending October 26 are: Initial seasonally adjusted claims were 216,000a decrease of 12,000 cases from the previous week’s revised figure. Last week’s level was revised upward by 1,000 cases, from 227,000 to 228,000. The four-week moving average was 236,500, down 2,250 from the previous week’s revised average. Last week’s average was revised upward by 250 people, from 238,500 to 238,750.
