The culinary team from LUX* South Ari Atoll returned home victorious after an outstanding performance at the prestigious annual Hotel Asia Cooking Competition, held from 13-15 May 2024. The event, which attracted a record 692 participants from 71 resorts across the Indian Ocean region, is a renowned platform to showcase culinary excellence. The three-day extravaganza included an exhibition at Daru Bargain in Male, a cooking competition at Maldives National University and an awards ceremony at Crossroads Maldives.
Not only did LUX* South Ari Atoll win the prestigious title of Most Excellent Chef from the resort’s Senior Sous Chef, Barun Kumar Singh, but they also won in several key categories, bagging a total of 31 awards including six gold medals, eight silver medals, eight bronze medals and eight Merit Awards.
