inauguration ceremony Money20/20 Asia The conference concluded a three-day event held at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from April 23 to 25, featuring fintech discussions, international networking, and collaboration.
The conference attracted more than 3,000 participants from 87 countries, including 24 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Notably, the event attracted more than 250 speakers from Asia, of which 45% were female executives and more than 60% held executive positions.
Key topics covered at Money20/20 Asia included AI, cross-border payments, open banking, digital assets, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
The highlight was the announcement of KASIKORNBANK’s partnership with JP Morgan. project carinaa blockchain-based initiative that aims to reduce cross-border payment times from 72 hours to just 5 minutes.
APAC regulators were also heavily involved, and regulatory discussions also played a central role. Dr Wong from SC Malaysia discussed the country’s approach to integrating innovation within capital markets, highlighting investor protection and technical cooperation to enhance financial access and social benefits.
