German livestock feed technology manufacturer Shiroking is based in Tittmonning, Bavaria, but its feed mixers now travel the world and are sold in more than 50 countries.
Karl Terpstra, president of Shiroking Canada, says the “Made in Germany” designation is a big plus for the company’s products, which range from small single-auger mixers to towed self-propelled electric mixers. With its wide product range, he says the company’s mixers are ideal for small dairies milking less than 100 cows to large dairies with more than 1,000 cows. .

“From the engine to the suspension to the frame to the driveline, it’s a very well-engineered product with the right axles and the right size hydraulic components,” Terpstra says. “This is a great product, designed in Germany and of high quality.”
Siloking also has a reputation for user-friendliness. “The controls are different than what we’re used to. But once people get on it and run it for a day or two, they find it very easy, very simple and comfortable.” Watch the video below.
