If there’s one thing newly planted soybeans don’t like, it’s cold water. Soybeans are very tolerant of early weather and cold soil, but cold rain in the first 12 hours after planting can kill newly planted soybeans.
How is the corn coming out? Real Agriculture’s resident agronomist Peter “Wheat Pete” Johnson says the timing is slightly different between the two heat-loving crops, which isn’t a good thing.
