To commemorate Children’s Day, Jumeirah Olhahari Island will welcome 20 special guests from Southern Community Empowerment Society of the Maldives (SCEAM) on 11 May 2024 for a day of exploration and inspirational experiences. I did.
SCEAM is an umbrella NGO dedicated to local community empowerment and engagement, working across the Maldives’ southernmost atoll to help build resilience and foster collective growth.
Mohamed Ashraf, General Manager of Jumeirah Olhahari Island, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with SCEAM and welcome these wonderful children to our blissful island.” “With over 57% of our members hailing from the Maldives, we believe in supporting our local institutions and organizations while prioritizing the well-being of our future successors. It was a wonderful opportunity to make unforgettable memories and spread smiles.”
The day began with a warm welcome ceremony by the resort’s management team and friendly members of the kids club. The children then took part in a hands-on cake decorating activity with the resort’s talented chefs, creating delicious treats to share with their families. After a delightful lunch at the poolside all-day dining restaurant GLOW, the little guests took part in a creative crafting session led by an artist from her MURACA art studio on the island. As the day progressed, the children had the opportunity to explore the resort’s contemporary beachside villas and enjoy a splash in their private infinity pool. At the end of the visit, the children received a special gift and a certificate of participation that they will cherish as part of their memories of Olhahari Island.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Jumeirah Olhahari Island for organizing this fun event to celebrate Children’s Day,” said Shimla Ahmed, Co-Founder and Managing Director of SCEAM. “This experience has brought immense joy and happiness to the children, and we look forward to continuing to work together to spread positivity and build a bright future for our young generation.”
