Grades 10 and 11 students will have the opportunity to learn more about modern agriculture thanks to a new resource developed by Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C) in partnership with CropLife Canada.
Educators across Canada will have access to a new curriculum-based resource that teaches students about what it takes to grow carrots, turnips and potatoes.
This resource is powered by CropLife Canada’s Real Farm Lives documentary web series, created to showcase the work and lives of farmers across the country. Season 3 of Real Farm Lives, which Resources focuses on, features the McKenna family from Prince Edward Island. They are committed to growing quality food for their families and families across the country while leaving the land in better condition for generations to come. generation.
Both AITC-C and CropLife Canada believe in providing educators with accurate, balanced, and up-to-date information to advance agricultural education in Canadian classrooms. Resources like this help students build knowledge about important ideas such as food preparation, food waste, and crop protection.
