Farmers looking for fast, aggressive tillage should consider the Vaderstad Carrier XL disc harrow.
In this report: agritechnicaRealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin and Vaderstad’s Bernt Martensson checked out the Carrier XL 725 on the exhibition floor at the Agricultural Innovation Showcase in Hannover, Germany.
“Usually we move at 10 to 15 kilometers per hour, but with this we want to go even faster, at 12 to 20 kilometers per hour. So we’re going really fast,” says Martenson.
Vaderstad’s disc cultivator carrier line is typically used for high-speed first plowing and seedbed preparation. Martenson says a wide range of front tools, discs and packers can address a wide range of field challenges, from very shallow cultivation to deeper incorporation.
Martenson said North American farmers are familiar with the Carrier XL, but adding the 7-meter unit now gives them access to a larger machine that can cover larger areas of land. See the full report below.
