BASF Digital Farming and Richardson International announced that Richardson Pioneer’s agricultural network has signed an agreement to use the Xarvio Field Manager agricultural platform in four provinces in Western Canada.
“Through this first-of-its-kind commercial agreement, we can work together to help Canadian farmers get the best of both worlds – sound advice from Richardson’s team of experienced agricultural advisors, complemented by precise, digitally-enabled recommendations from BASF,” added Reta Larache, vice-president, business management, BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions.
The companies say the xarvio platform will enable Richardson agronomists to provide growers with more accurate, field-specific crop management advice during the season, including early risk warning notifications for diseases such as canola sclerotia. It is said that it will be possible.
They said Xarvio field managers consistently predicted the incidence of economically significant field-specific sclerotia in 2022/23 field trials.
Richardson agronomists use Xarvio Field Manager to make seeding, crop protection, and nutrition decisions based on field-specific data such as yield maps, soil maps, and 15 years of historical biomass imagery from satellite data. You can also generate variable application maps customized for your tasks.
“Richardson and BASF have had a long-standing and trusted partnership, and we are excited to introduce Xarvio Field Manager to our digital agriculture lineup,” said Russ Reich, Vice President of Crop Inputs at Richardson International. says Mr.
The xarvio platform is now available at Richardson Pioneer Ag business centers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
