The Equipment Manufacturers Association has released its February 2024 sales report for new machinery in Canada and the United States. The expected slowdown in profitability in 2024 is reflected in machinery sales at the beginning of the calendar year.
In the United States, sales have been declining in all categories since the beginning of this year. Two-wheel drive tractors decreased by 14.4%, four-wheel drive tractors decreased by 7.2%, and combine harvesters decreased by 18.9%.
In Canada, new tractor sales are also sluggish compared to the previous year. Two-wheel drive tractors decreased by 28.9%, and four-wheel drive tractors decreased by 3.4%.
