Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) will be participating in the Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) 2024 taking place this month from 27th to 29th May 2024. Visit Maldives, along with 17 participants representing 9 companies, will be showcasing Maldives as a travel destination in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MMPRC’s contribution at the fair is to strengthen its sunny side of life’s presence in the Saudi Arabian market, achieve growth in arrivals, promote the tourism segment and target affluent travelers in the luxury segment in the Middle East.
Riyadh Travel Fair 2024, to be held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, is considered the key annual event that brings together leading travel and tourism companies from Saudi Arabia, the GCC and other international companies along with exhibitors representing tourism promotion authorities and tourism companies at the Arab and international level. RTF is a marketplace showcasing tourism products, services and investments offered by the world’s most important tourism companies. Corporate travel decision makers, investors, tour operators, travel agents representing VIP clients and other industry professionals attend the event every year.
The Maldives booth offers a breathtaking glimpse into the brighter side of life. The booth has been thoughtfully curated to showcase diverse segments of the Maldives tourism industry, including luxury travel, family travel, adventure travel and cultural experiences. The vibrant and colorful booth will feature a range of unique experiences, including social media contests and exclusive giveaways. Cultural and gastronomic experiences, including a Dhivehi calligraphy corner, will also be available to visitors, providing them with the opportunity to sample Maldivian delicacies.
Through this event, Visit Maldives aims to promote and market the Maldives as a world-leading tourism destination and promote the organisation’s unique products, experiences and Sunny Side of Life areas.
RTF 2024 will enable Maldives to promote its tourism products such as resorts, guesthouses, cruise ships and hotels, as well as the destination’s unique services and experiences available to travelers. The fair will provide MMPRC and its industry partners with a valuable platform to share the latest travel tips and information about the destination with the travel industry and travelers in this market and around the world. Additionally, the fair will provide an excellent opportunity for industry partners to connect with the Middle East travel industry and establish new business relationships. Participation in Riyadh Travel Fair comes as part of MMPRC’s marketing strategy for the KSA market, with campaigns to increase reach, bookings and arrivals from the region.
Saudi Arabia currently ranks 21st in terms of market visitor numbers to the Maldives. As part of its efforts to maintain its presence as a destination and increase visitor numbers, MMPRC is planning several activities targeting the Middle East market, including joint marketing campaigns, informational webinars, participation in major fairs and exhibitions, and organising roadshows and study trips.
