Two John Deere dealers in Alberta have announced plans to combine their operations under a new brand name next month.
Martin Deereline and Agland plan to combine operations under the new name “Horizon Ag and Turf” effective July 31, 2024, subject to all necessary approvals being received.
Martin Deerline, founded in 1965, has 10 locations across the province: Edmonton (2), Warburg, Mayerthorpe, Westlock, Barrhead, High Prairie, Falher, Wetaskiwin and Calgary. Agland was founded in 1957 and has three locations: Lloydminster, St. Paul and Vermilion.

Cam Kaye will serve as CEO of the newly formed Horizon Ag & Turf, while Cam Martin (Edmonton) and Darren Lindsay (Lloydminster) will serve as operations managers for the regional dealer locations. Merrill Martin (Edmonton) and Wayne Payre (Westlock) will join Martin, Lindsay and Kaye on the Horizon board of directors.
Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
