Homegrown financial services company Sing Life The transition to was completed successfully. Amazon Web Services (AWSThe company claims to be the first fully cloud-based insurance company in Singapore.
The multi-phase project, announced in late 2022, was supported by AWS Professional Services and involved migrating more than 39 mission-critical applications and exiting the data center within 18 months.
Working with AWS will enable Singlife to better predict customer needs and develop next-generation financial products.
By leveraging AWS infrastructure and machine learning services, including Amazon SageMaker, Singlife aims to meet the growing demand for real-time, highly personalized digital financial services.
The move is expected to streamline operations, reduce processing times, reduce costs, improve customer experience and increase employee productivity.
This completion now enables Singlife to adopt a more scalable cloud infrastructure to meet its evolving business needs.
Singlife uses Amazon Relational Database Service and Amazon Aurora to develop new products and bring them to market faster.
Additionally, the move will support Singlife’s carbon footprint measurement and reduction goals, contributing to the company’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
To support this transition, Singlife has integrated AWS training programs and since 2022, over 70% of its business and technical leaders have achieved AWS certification.
The move is expected to save the company about S$5 million per year.
