Coco Collection hosted its first-ever session on mental health and wellbeing, launching a new initiative, “Nurturing Minds.” “Nurturing Minds” is an ongoing year-round initiative by Coco Collection to recognise the power of prioritising easy access to the emotional wellbeing of its employees and to transform the perception of mental health.
The first sessions were held at both resorts on June 7th and 8th, featuring experienced wellness navigators who highlighted the common issue of low self-esteem and the importance of self-love.
To kick-start this wellness journey, Koko Collection invited Dr. Shanouha Mansoor, Senior Consultant Specialist in Psychiatry, and her colleague, Psychologist Ali Mikhail Mahmood Razi, to join Koko Bodu Hithi. Dr. Shanouha emphasised that one must love one’s mind just as much as one loves one’s body, and how this can positively impact an individual’s stress management and wellbeing.
Meanwhile, Coco Palm Dhuni Kol has invited Dr. Abdullah Nazim and Dr. Hussain Shama. In this year-long programme implemented by Coco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kol, Coco Collection will be inviting various experts to speak on various intellectual health-related topics that will lead to education and awareness within the industry. This initiative will create a psychologically safe working environment for those working at the resort and allow employees to discover new elements of holistic wellness.
According to Coco Collection, the partnership aims to drive positive change in the hospitality industry by promoting and raising awareness about the importance of employee mental and overall wellbeing, as well as reducing misconceptions.
