As part of the company’s ongoing strategic plan to evaluate and improve every aspect of all operations in line with more sustainable practices, Atmosphere Core’s corporate F&B team has announced its first-ever partnership with award-winning Japanese zero-alcohol spirits brand, Sakurafresh.
To cater to the growing interest and demand for non-alcoholic cocktails in the Maldives, Atmosphere Core and Sakurafresh are currently working on developing an innovative “Beverage Partnership Programme” that will focus on sourcing natural ingredients to produce only the highest quality beverages.
Anupam Bannerjee, vice president of food and beverage at Atmosphere Core, explains: “As a group, we are constantly looking at how we can improve our sustainability practices. Taking this a step further, we are now looking at the ingredients our suppliers use and we are incredibly impressed with Sakura Fresh’s innovative approach in their speciality of cocktail making.”
The first Atmosphere Core Resort to introduce Sakura Fresh products will be the group’s newest resort, RAAYA by Atmosphere, which is scheduled to officially open on July 4 this year. Following the successful opening, the F&B team plans to host mixology masterclasses across all the group’s nine resorts in the Maldives.
Anupam continues, “Ahead of the opening of RAAYA by Atmopshere, our F&B team will be collaborating with Sakurafresh’s bartenders. Our aim is to use their unique bitters and zero-alcohol spirits and liqueurs to create the most sophisticated and enjoyable non-alcoholic cocktail menu in the Maldives. By blending Sakurafresh drinks with herbs and spices from our islands, we intend to develop a unique and outstanding cocktail menu.”
Commenting on the strategic partnership, Nameet M, Co-Founder and Director, Sakura Fresh, added, “We are excited to partner with Atmosphere Core. As one of the global innovation leaders in the non-alcoholic liqueurs and spirits space across the world, Sakura Fresh looks forward to collaborating with Atmosphere Core venues in the Maldives and working with their beverage team to deliver a unique experience to hotel guests.”
“Our liqueurs, spirits and bitters have won 60 global spirits awards and working with Sakura Fresh Mauritius’ blending unit will enable us to further develop our mixology skills and creatively create new and exciting cocktails and straight up cocktails. Sakura Fresh’s independent research shows that guests around the world are starting to expect and demand drinks that they look forward to sipping, even when they are abstaining from alcohol. This is a growing trend and our products are at the leading edge of the market,” concludes Neemiet.
