Founded by Jack MallardStrike aims to make bitcoin accessible through a mobile app powered by the Lightning Network, and with its UK launch, Strike is now available in 100 countries around the world.
Jack Mallers said that despite regulatory complexities, the company is committed to expanding Bitcoin adoption and providing its services on a global scale. “Our work is far from done,” he added.
To use Strike in the UK, users must pass a Bitcoin “suitability assessment” quiz required by local regulations, and the app also includes the customary risk warnings.
Strike offers several features to its UK customers, including the ability to buy bitcoin via instant bank transfer, set up subscriptions, and self-managed withdrawals.
