The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Island has announced the promotion of Dan Drebing from Director of Operations to Resort Manager and Alia Korsikova from Director of Sales to Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing. Dan and Alia’s extensive backgrounds and dedication are invaluable assets to the resort.
Throughout his career in hospitality, Dan has held senior roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Abama, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, as well as serving as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi and Director of Food & Beverage at W Maldives and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Island.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dan has been promoted to Director of Operations at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Island, where he has worked to manage efficient operations, enhance the guest experience and foster a positive work environment. In his new role as Resort Manager, he will oversee all aspects of resort operations to ensure the highest standards of service and maintain the resort’s reputation as a premier destination. Alia has been an integral part of the team at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Island, starting as Sales Manager since the hotel’s preparation for opening in 2021. With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she began her career as a butler at One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, before going on to hold roles at Amilla Fushi in the Maldives.
Her dedicated efforts at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Island saw Alia promoted from Sales Manager to eventually Assistant Director of Sales in May 2022 and then Director of Sales by June 2023. As Director of Sales, Alia played a key role in driving bookings and ensuring guest satisfaction through exemplary service standards. She excels in relationship building, market analysis and team leadership. Passionate about creating unforgettable guest experiences, Alia is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and diversity both within her team and across the resort.
