CIMB Singapore experienced a technical issue on 29 June 2024, affecting the reflection of certain transactions in a group of customers’ bank account balances.
The bank claimed in a Facebook post that the root cause of the technical issue had been identified and that a team was working to resolve it.
Despite the glitch, CIMB Singapore reported that both deposit and withdrawal transactions were processed successfully.
The bank statement The company said it would ensure its core banking systems and customer accounts were secure.
CIMB has assured that all affected customers will receive their funds within the next 24 hours and is actively working with affected customers to resolve the issue.
The majority of affected customers have already seen their transactions reflected in their accounts, and the bank is working with the remaining small number of customers whose accounts require further verification.
The bank said:
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers and will continue to provide updates in due course. CIMB website And our Official Facebook page.”
