This attempted investigation was conducted under highly questionable circumstances and with very little justification for its urgency. Riot Platforms and the Texas Blockchain Council filed a lawsuit seeking an injunction Opposing the investigation in Waco, Texas.
In the final agreement, EIA agreed to voluntarily end collection under the emergency situation and destroy all information it had received up until the court’s ruling.
