This chart shows the number of reported deaths by week (column by column).
Due to the weekly death toll, we have met our initial goal of ceasing posting, but we will continue to monitor to see if the death toll rises again. This week it has risen from pandemic lows.

This appears to be a leading indicator of COVID hospitalizations and deaths.
COVID-19 in wastewater is increasing, particularly in the West and South, which unfortunately suggests that weekly deaths are likely to rise further.
