Luxury, fun and delicious food: Escapade Gourmande, which translates to “Gourmet Getaway”, will be held at Constance Hotels & Resorts in the Maldives from 11 to 18 August 2024. In this exclusive gastronomic experience, two Constance hotels on Halaveli and Moofushi islands in Ari Atoll will serve up exquisite multi-course dinners.
The event will be hosted by partner winemaker Domaine Albert Mann of Alsace, who will offer an extensive selection of fine wines throughout the event. Known for their commitment to biodynamic farming and superior wine quality, Domaine Albert Mann produces wines that perfectly express the terroir of their vineyards. Their involvement will allow guests to enjoy a carefully curated selection of fine wines to pair perfectly with each dish and enhance the overall culinary experience.
Joining them will be Swedish Chef Sebastian Gebrandt, 2019 Bocuse d’Argent winner, Italy’s Fabrizio Fiorani, Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2019, and French pastry chef and influencer Thomas Alfonsine. The three played key roles in the annual Constance Festival Culinaire, which will be held in March 2024 at Constance Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius. Chef Gebrandt served as a judge, Chef Fiorani participated as a contestant, and Thomas Alfonsine attended as an influencer covering the event.

- Tuesday, August 13: Breakfast Pastry Corner by Tomas Alfonsin, Wine Tasting by the Lagoon with Chefs Sebastian Gebrand and Fabrizio Fiorani (paired with Albert Mann wines)
Constance Halaveli Maldives:
- Wednesday, August 14: Wine Dinner with Chefs Sebastian Gibler and Fabrizio Fiorani (paired with Albert Mann wines)
- Friday, August 16: Breakfast pastry corner by Tomas Alfonsin
Jerome Faure, corporate sommelier at Constance Hotels & Resorts, spoke about the importance of pairings to complement each meal during the event: “The concept is to bring together the winemaker and chef, who are the protagonists, to create a perfect harmony.”
Highlights of the event will also include a masterclass with Domaine Albert Mann, a unique opportunity for Constance sommeliers to participate in a valuable and educational training session. Guests and participants are looking forward to an unforgettable week.
