Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Jad Rabidge as the new General Manager of Avani+ Fales Maldives Resort. From July 2024, Rabidge will lead the luxury lifestyle resort in Baa Atoll, leveraging his passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and strategic acumen to deliver results.
An Australian national, Mr Lovidge brings a wealth of experience to his first General Manager role. Most recently, he served as Hotel Manager at W Sydney, where he oversaw the pre-opening phase of the world’s largest W hotel and an iconic landmark on the Sydney skyline. From 2018 to 2022, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing at W Bali – Seminyak, where he established the resort as a popular destination for luxury travellers. During his tenure, he was also responsible for managing the operations of two other Marriott properties in the region, where he achieved impressive results in guest satisfaction and increased profitability. Earlier in his career, Mr Lovidge held various senior management roles with Mantra Group, Australia’s leading accommodation operator.

Mr. Lovidge holds a Bachelor of Applied Hospitality, Tourism and Business Management from the Pacific International School of Hotel Management in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
