Mumbai, July 29, 2024: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that it has offered employment opportunities to 403 students from ITIs and polytechnics across nine Indian states across its dealer network. HMIL provides special skill development programs to ITIs and polytechnics and further helps students access meaningful employment opportunities across its extensive network of dealers. The recent recruitment drive was conducted across the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Gujarat.
Committed to Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, HMIL aims to enrich the lives of Indian youth, fulfil their dreams and build a better India. Through this initiative, HMIL helps create an ecosystem where students are provided with industry-ready skills, exposure to latest technologies, hands-on training and ensure employment opportunities upon completion of their courses.
Commenting on the graduation celebrations, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director & COO, HMIL said, “HMIL is committed to India and is proud to support the Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ initiative. Our recent programmes have trained students in the latest skills and empowered them to contribute from day one in the workforce. HMIL plans to train more youth across the country and help them earn a decent livelihood.”
HMIL has partnered with 76 government ITIs and polytechnic institutes. As part of the program, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of HMIL, invests in improving the partner facilities to cater to the various needs of each institute and ensure that students get the required resources, quality education, and much-needed exposure to latest technologies. Additionally, HMIL provides study material and hands-on training to students on the latest trends in the automotive industry and technology to upskill and enhance their skills.
