Leading luxury brand Coco Collection has announced the appointment of Mausooma Abdulla as Director of Human Resources, Compliance and Planning for Coco Collection, as well as new executive leaders into key roles across the team, Shirley Orido Ali as Human Resources Manager and Sharon Binti Bius as Spa and Wellness Manager for Coco Bodu Hithi.
With three decades of impressive experience and a diverse skill set, Mausooma Abdulla is passionate about operational excellence and setting service standards. She is hands-on and value-driven in the latest developments in service models and human capital. While her professional background spans across various sectors including travel, tourism, hospitality and aviation, she has been an integral part of Sunland Group for almost 22 years as Executive Vice President of Sunland Journeys. Mausooma will be responsible for establishing and developing compliance policies and corporate strategies while heading the HR and talent development functions for Coco Collection.
Shirley Olid Ali joins Coco Collection with extensive experience in the hospitality industry in Dubai and the Maldives, bringing with her extensive experience managing top-tier brands such as Anantara Doha Banana Island, Joali Being Resort, Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru, Velaa Private Island and Anantara Kihavah Villas. Shirley’s impressive track record and extensive expertise in the luxury hospitality sector make her the ideal candidate to lead the evolution of the Coco Bodu Hithi brand and properties. Her leadership will ensure that guest experiences are further enhanced and the resort’s unparalleled sense of uninhibited luxury and elevated experience is perpetuated.
Sharon Binti Bius has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry across front office, wellness and spa sectors and has received numerous awards throughout the years, including Marriott International’s Five Star Award Leader for 2023, ASEAN Spa Service Awards for three consecutive years and Top 10 Malaysia’s Best Resort Spa Awards for 2023. She will ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction at Coco Collection and embody the core value of hospitality excellence.
