Assaf began his career with Marriott International six years ago at The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, where he quickly emerged as a talented and passionate chef. His career has been marked by a blend of creativity and leadership, consistently delivering exceptional dining experiences. In his new role, Assaf brings a wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to elevating the culinary and F&B offering at Le Méridien Maldives.
Known for his infectious enthusiasm and catchphrase “It couldn’t be better, I’m in paradise”, Chef Assaf brings joy and passion to his work in a unique way that leaves an indelible impression on all he meets. A native of Turkey, Chef Assaf has enriched the vibrant and dynamic culinary experience at Le Méridien Maldives by incorporating his grandmother’s cherished recipes into the resort’s new menu. His deep-rooted culinary heritage and positive attitude ensure that every dish is a celebration of flavor and culture.
As Executive Assistant Manager, F&B and Culinary, Assaf will oversee the resort’s food and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of excellence and innovation. His leadership and vision are expected to further elevate the culinary offering and provide a memorable dining experience for all guests.
