Each bottle of Champagne Leclerc Briand Cuvée Abyss Brut Zero is aged for 10 months 60 metres beneath the Atlantic Ocean, where the internal pressure of the champagne inside the bottle matches the pressure of the surrounding water. The bottle is submerged and resurfaced according to a biodynamic calendar, and the characteristics of its environment are evident in the final product, with aromas and flavours that carry the unique sea air.
Once they’ve finished sipping their champagne, couples will have the opportunity to adopt a coral edge at the resort’s coral garden and plant their bottle in the edge, commemorating the special moment while also contributing to the restoration of the reef. Tied to the edge of the adopted coral, the empty bottle will provide the organism with essential minerals to stimulate growth. Tracking the coral’s growth will be sent to the couple periodically throughout the year or they can view it in person during their next visit.
