Paymentology, a global issuer and processor, announced it has achieved certification for Mastercard’s Cloud Edge, advancing its strategy to deliver cloud-based payment solutions.

Mastercard’s Cloud Edge enables connections from a variety of cloud providers to Mastercard and supports multiple connectivity options.
Paymentology says the technology will enable fintechs, issuing banks and other partners to launch new payment services more efficiently and securely.
Paymentology reported that it is the first customer to connect simultaneously from multiple public cloud providers through Mastercard’s Cloud Edge.
The connection is said to increase flexibility and enable Paymentology to better serve a range of clients across the fintech, banking and telecommunications sectors by providing access to Mastercard products and services through a single connection.
The announcement comes at a time when global expansion is a challenge for fintechs, banks and telcos, who often face delays due to hardware requirements and regional compliance.
Paymentology said Mastercard’s Cloud Edge supports its processing services by improving reliability and scalability in card program rollouts, streamlining transactions and ensuring data security and performance.
The collaboration is expected to accelerate service rollout, minimize delays to customer adoption and provide a secure and scalable platform.
