Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) and Fliggy, a leading Chinese online travel platform under the Alibaba Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen and expand the Maldives’ presence as a tourist destination in the Chinese market.
MMPRC CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Siully and Friggy’s Vice President Tong Teng signed the agreement as a collaboration with Villa Resorts at a ceremony held at Villa Nautica on 18 August 2024. This important partnership between Friggy and MMPRC will help promote and maintain the Maldives as a top travel destination in the Chinese market.

By collaborating with Villa Resorts to host the signing ceremony at Villa Nautica, Visit Maldives aims to highlight the Maldives’ appeal as a perfect destination for MICE travel, events and meetings.
