In response to my latest EconLog post,Competition works in medicine tooOn August 17, 2024, many of you commented or expressed your concerns through emails and Facebook messages. We thank all of you for doing so.
I got some very good news yesterday. My biopsy turned up 12 tissue samples. 10 of them showed no signs of cancer. 2 showed signs of cancer, but each had a Gleason score of 3 plus 3. Apparently, that’s what you expect from a Gleason score. The Gleason score is named after, you guessed it, the famous comedian Jackie Gleason. No, seriously, Dr. Donald Gleason.
FYI, I don’t intend for EconLog to be a place to post about my health. I will only post on the davidrhenderson Substack, “I Blog to Differ”, and/or my Facebook page. The only time I mentioned my health in Sunday’s post was to talk about competitions, so going forward the only time I talk about my health on EconLog will be in posts that have a financial component.
Once again, thank you so much for all the congratulations.
