Renowned Maldivian culinary expert, Chef Maha Nasir has been selected as a judge for the prestigious Thailand World Junior Chef Battle 2024. The event, which will be held in Bangkok from 28 to 31 August, will showcase the skills of 16 teams, including 12 international participants and four Thai teams.
Young chefs representing various countries including the Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, USA, Australia and Greece will compete for the prestigious title. A panel of internationally renowned chefs, including Chef Maha, will judge their culinary creations.
With an illustrious career spanning decades, Chef Mahas brings a wealth of experience to the judging panel. Having previously served as Secretary General of the Maldives Chefs Guild and currently serving as an executive director of a Maldives Marketing and Public Relations company, her expertise is widely recognised.
Chef Mahas is one of the few female Executive Chefs in the country and holds the distinction of being the first Maldivian to achieve the prestigious title of MasterChef, and her participation in this global culinary event further cements the growing international reputation of Maldivian cuisine.
