Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), in collaboration with the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), showcased its diverse tourism offerings at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2024, held from 27-29 August at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. Promotion of “Destination Maldives” at the three-day event focused on touting the country’s unique geography, vibrant underwater marine life and diverse staycation options, cementing its status as a leading global destination.
The Maldivian delegation attending the event included MMPRC Chairman Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz, MMPRC CEO & MD Ibrahim Siuli, MATATO CEO Aminath Suzan and key industry partners such as Dhigufaru Island Resort, Furaveri Maldives, Inner Maldives, Plumeria, Ryoko Maldives, Stone Hotels Maldives, Sun Siyam Travels and Kaani Hotels & Resorts.
Each tour showcased the diverse experiences the Maldives has to offer, from tranquil island hideaways to thrilling underwater adventures, reminding tourists from around the world why the “Sunny Side of Life” continues to be a destination with something for every type of traveller.
