All these elements combine to create a one-of-a-kind destination that pushes the boundaries of your imagination. Look closely and you’ll find around 100 pools dotted throughout the resort, including Sky Pool Villas that will make you feel like you’re swimming above the clouds.
Nowhere else in the world do you find all these amazing elements combined in one place.
- Lambda Steel Royal is not only an established brand, but what is the unique selling proposition that differentiates Royal specifically targeted at the ultra-premium market?
Ultra-luxury hotels are those that incorporate elements not traditionally part of the hospitality experience, such as incorporating fashion and style into the guest experience in a very unique way. Cloud 22 highlights this integration through collaborations with UNAS and Dolce & Gabbana, as well as the opening of Louis Vuitton’s first resort store in the Middle East.
To mark its first anniversary, the brand also partnered with Louis Vuitton to bring the brand’s mascot, Vivienne, to Dubai for the first time outside Paris. Unique offerings such as 24-karat gold stone massages at Awaken Spa and cuisine from Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin-starred restaurant add further distinctive elements to the experience.
Add to that the fact that it has a selection of restaurants by famous chefs, such as Nobu Matsuhisa, José Andrés, Estiatorio Milos, Costas Spiliadis and Gastón Acurio’s with Lama. All these elements combined create a unique proposition that you won’t find anywhere else.
- In terms of rooms and suites, what innovative design elements and technological twists will characterise Atlantis The Royal?
Let’s start with the Royal Mansion, one of the largest and most exclusive suites in the world. Spanning two levels, the 18th and 19th floors above Atlantis The Royal’s skybridge, this split-level, four-bedroom penthouse measures 1,128 square metres and even includes a 476 square metre terrace with an infinity pool. The suite offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Palm, making it a truly unique proposition.
The Royal Mansion features a private entrance, allowing guests to completely bypass the public areas of the resort. It offers 360-degree views of Dubai and the Gulf, and a balcony with an olive tree that’s over 100 years old. Inside, you’ll find a private library, a room with jewellery and a safe, and 16 rooms accessed by a private elevator.
The experience is further enhanced with exceptional levels of service, including pampering from a Royal Butler, airport transfers in a Royal Maybach and a personalized in-suite shopping experience with brands such as Valentino, Graff and Louis Vuitton. Suites also feature private kitchens, making it easy to cater for special dietary requirements.
Luxury is evident in every detail, from Hermès bath amenities, Italian Frette bathrobes, hand-selected pillows, Technogym equipment and even bespoke touches like Hypnos mattresses, Baccarat crystal backgammon sets and custom-designed Louis Vuitton ping pong tables.
In addition to the Royal Mansions, there are six Signature Suites and 44 Skypool Villas available. Spanning 43 floors, these villas offer unparalleled views of Dubai, the skyline and the Gulf. Offering ultimate privacy and the feeling of floating in the air, the Skypool Villas offer a truly unique experience, making Atlantis The Royal an exclusive destination.
- Gourmet experiences are a big draw for travelers looking for a luxury getaway, so what dining options does Atlantis The Royal offer to cater to fine palates?
Dubai has recently emerged as a vibrant culinary hub unlike anywhere else in the world. Visitors to the city are eager to discover something new and we are satisfying that desire by combining local concepts with world-renowned dining experiences. For example, our hotels offer unique menus such as Malibu House and House of Desserts that reflect local flavours.
At the same time, we are also introducing Michelin-starred and celebrity chef restaurants to further enhance our culinary diversity. Currently, Atlantis Dubai has over 50 restaurants, 17 of which are located at Atlantis The Royal. This range allows us to offer exceptional service and a wide range of experiences all in one destination.
Complementing the diverse dining options is an exclusive drinks program. Most of the wines and spirits served at Atlantis The Royal are unavailable elsewhere in the Middle East. Each restaurant offers a curated wine list that matches its unique theme, such as an exceptional selection at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Greek wines at Estiatorio Milos and a selection of Spanish wines at Palo.
This approach will create distinctive dining experiences throughout the resort, allowing guests to explore a world of different flavours without ever leaving their destination.
- Luxury often goes hand in hand with impeccable service. Can you explain your guest service philosophy that ensures an unparalleled experience?
For us, it’s all about service. Our goal is to provide our guests with a level of service and experience they’ve never experienced anywhere else. The real challenge is delivering something special to our guests after they’ve seen and done it all. We aim to provide something so unique that even those with deep pockets will want to return.
The key is intuitive, personalized service — around-the-clock attention to guests’ needs, giving them what they want, when they want, how they want, often before they even ask. This level of attentiveness and foresight is essential to creating a memorable experience.
We are proud to have received a Five Star award from Forbes Travel Guide in our first year of operation and to have been named to the World’s 50 Best Hotels in their inaugural ranking – notably, we are the only hotel in the Middle East to receive this honor.
After all, it is this element of exceptional service that sets our hotel apart, beyond the physical beauty of the hotel.
- How does Atlantis The Royal accommodate guests who want customized itineraries and activities during their stay?
Our priority is to understand each guest’s likes, dislikes and preferences during their stay. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Our butler team is highly skilled in observing and understanding why each guest comes to the hotel, allowing us to provide a more personalized experience.
We offer a variety of “surprise and delight” elements for our overnight and returning guests, such as monogrammed sheets, pillowcases and bathrobes, as well as a customized pillow menu to enhance the quality of their sleep. We also focus on understanding each guest’s personality and incorporating their special touches, such as a surprise moment during turndown service that reflects their preferences and reason for staying with us.
For a more personalized stay, we offer several options to help you prepare in advance. Depending on how your guests book (e.g. through our travel partners), we may ask for details about their preferences, likes and dislikes, family members and special celebrations. This preparation allows us to anticipate your guests’ needs before they arrive.
Our butler team will communicate in advance for your arrival in our suites to gather similar details and ensure everything is perfectly prepared. Understanding the purpose of your stay, be it a vacation, business trip, anniversary or multi-generational family reunion, lays the foundation for creating special moments that will make your stay truly memorable.
- Looking ahead, what exciting developments and initiatives do you have planned for Atlantis The Royal to further cement its position as a leader in the luxury hospitality industry?
We always strive to provide new and unique experiences and what is amazing is that in just one year, some of our guests have stayed with us for their 10th or 15th time, many of whom now consider us their home in Dubai, which speaks volumes about the loyalty we have built in such a short space of time.
To keep things fresh and exciting, we continue to introduce new menus. For example, we are planning to open Carbone, a New York-style Italian restaurant, in the first quarter of next year. Atlantis The Palm, we are also opening two new restaurants with Björn Frantzén, which will be Dubai’s first three-star Michelin restaurant in partnership with FZN.
As well as culinary experiences, the resort is continually partnering with fashion and lifestyle brands to bring new elements to the resort, so every time guests return to the resort they will discover not only new menus, experiences and amenities but also exciting new collaborations from the world of fashion and lifestyle, meaning there’s always something new to enjoy.
