From Mannheim Consulting today: Used vehicle wholesale prices rise in August
Used vehicle wholesale prices (on a vehicle type, mileage and seasonally adjusted basis) increased in August compared to July. The Manheim Used Vehicle Price Index (MUVVI) increased to 203.9, down 3.9% year-over-year. Seasonal adjustment to the index mitigated the impact on the month, resulting in a 1.2% month-over-month increase. Unadjusted prices increased 2.2% in August compared to July, while the average unadjusted price was down 4.6% year-over-year.

The Manheim Consulting index is based on all sales transactions completed at Manheim’s U.S. auctions.
Used car prices rose in August (seasonally adjusted), according to the Mannheim Index, and were down 3.9% year-on-year.
