Citizens hires 750 engineers to strengthen in-house technical services

Citizens Bank has hired 750 engineers over the past four years to boost its in-house innovation capabilities. The hiring has helped the bank “transform from an organization that was very dependent on outsourcing to one that has a strong base of in-house problem-solving engineers,” says Michael Rutledge, chief information officer and enterprise technology officer.
