Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) Partnered with MasterCard It has partnered with Malaysian fintech company Soft Space to launch the “Hassle-free Payment Processing” campaign.
The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of contactless payments in the Asia Pacific region by providing Android devices worth over 3.25 million baht pre-installed with the “SCB Tap-To-Pay” service to eligible merchants.
The service allows retailers to accept contactless payments via mobile devices, eliminating the need for traditional point-of-sale systems.
Merchants can accept a variety of payment methods, including Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards, mobile wallets and QR payments.
SoftSpace will supply 500 Android devices to SCB, which will be distributed to merchants who meet certain transaction criteria of at least 25,000 baht between Sept 15 and Oct 31, 2024.
Payment solutions provider Digio (Thailand) will assist with the delivery of these devices.
