In the week ending September 14th: Seasonally adjusted new claims were 219,000.The number of cases was down 12,000 from the previous week’s revised figure. The previous week’s number was revised upward by 1,000 from 230,000 to 231,000. The four-week moving average was 227,500, down 3,500 from the previous week’s revised figure. The previous week’s average was revised upward by 250 from 230,750 to 231,000.
