Nika Island Resort & Spa Maldives has announced it is taking a major step towards sustainability by partnering with Avi Technologies to install solar panels. The initiative, called Nika Green Path, aims to reduce the resort’s carbon footprint and promote environmentally friendly practices.

The installation of solar panels is expected to reduce the resort’s diesel consumption by 30%, significantly lowering its carbon footprint. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2024, allowing the resort to prepare for the high season.
