Now in its ninth year, Winetopia Auckland is set to present the most glamorous wine celebration ever, crowned by a main stage and featuring two days of restaurant-led masterclasses.
The event, taking place at the Viaduct Events Centre on 26th and 27th July 2024, will feature international wine expert and renowned drinks journalist Mike Benny. A regular judge at Australian and international wine competitions, Mike will share stories from his travels around the world’s wine regions on Winetopia’s main stage and share his favourite ‘Baller Wines’ during a masterclass.

The main stage will also feature the Winetopia Wine Battle, where attendees will be able to taste wines, vote for their favourite region and varietal to ultimately determine the winner. The Wine Battle will be hosted by MC Kieran McCafferty and Winetopia Founder Rob Elliott.
Auckland’s most exciting restaurants are hosting exclusive food and wine masterclasses that are sure to delight your taste buds. Duo Eatery, Bossi, Te Kaahu, Manzo, Culprit Each chef will take attendees on a journey pairing their signature flavors with top wines from around the country.
New to Auckland Winetopia is Marion Titmuss, founder of Somm-Sake and SSA certified sake sommelier. Marion loves making sake accessible and enjoyable to drink and will be showcasing a diverse collection of carefully crafted sakes, ideal for Winetopia attendees looking to broaden their wine horizons.

With 60 wineries under one roof, there’s something to suit every palate, and a huge variety of wines are on offer from all of New Zealand’s wine regions, from Karikari Estate in Northland to Gibbston Valley in Central Otago to Casita Miro on Waiheke Island.

New wineries joining Winetopia Auckland this year are Airburn, Boulder Bay, Casita Milo, Cuver, Edmond de Rothschild, Heritage NZ Wines, Folding Hill, Hampshire, Henley, Moy Hall, Paroa Bay, Postage Stamp, Sante, Swiftsure and Te Awanga. They join established Winetopia wineries such as Craggy Range, Nautilus Estate and Rockburn.
Visitors are given a Spiegelau glass to use in tasting the wines, and each ticket also includes tasting tokens for your first five visits. Winetopia has become a must-attend event for wine lovers who can buy directly from the winery and take home a bottle or order a case and have it delivered to their home.
This year’s Premium Lounge sponsor is American Express. Tickets to the Premium Lounge are sold out, but American Express Card Members can enjoy additional benefits such as priority entry, complimentary coat check and a tasting of Cloudy Bay Pelorus NV upon arrival at Winetopia by simply presenting their card.
As well as a range of artisan food producers, the event will feature four kitchens run by some of Auckland’s top chefs.
