PADI has launched the Master Scuba Diver Challenge to encourage scuba divers from around the world to reach the pinnacle of recreational scuba diving and earn the PADI Master Scuba Diver certification, joining an elite group that fewer than 2% of divers achieve.
“The PADI Master Scuba Diver certification is considered the ‘black belt’ of recreational diving,” says Lisa Nicklin, vice president of growth and marketing for PADI Worldwide. “We challenge scuba divers to continue their education and transform into confident, prepared divers ready to seek adventure and protect the oceans anywhere in the world.”
Through December 31, 2024, participants can work towards their PADI Master Scuba Diver certification while also entering to win a dream dive trip to the Maldives. To achieve PADI Master Scuba Diver certification, participants must complete an Advanced Open Water Diver course, five specialty courses, a Rescue Diver course, and 50 logged dives.
One Grand Prize Winner will receive round-trip airfare for two to Male and a six-night stay at Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa with two dives per day. Two additional winners will receive a recreational PADI eLearning course of their choice. This giveaway is open to all students pursuing PADI Master Scuba Diving qualification during the competition period.
