BEA released its light vehicle sales forecast for July this morning.

This chart shows BEA’s light vehicle sales since 2006 (blue) and BEA’s July estimates (red).
Sales in July (15.82 million units based on SAAR) increased 4.2% from June and decreased 0.8% from July 2023.
July sales fell short of the consensus estimate of 16.2 million units.
The second chart shows light vehicle sales since 1967, when BEA began collecting data.
