The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort has announced it has been awarded the prestigious Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024 by Travel + Leisure.
The awards, which celebrate the very best in travel and hospitality, featured the resort’s stunning John Jacob Astor Estate Villas as one of the top 10 most amazing villas in the Maldives. The winners were announced at a ceremony in Bangkok in June, showcasing excellence in luxury travel as voted for by Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau readers.
John Jacob Astor Estate is the largest three-bedroom overwater villa in the Maldives, offering the pinnacle of luxury living with an air of luxury and sophistication. Designed to accommodate up to 12 guests, the villa comes with unparalleled amenities including a private gym, a state-of-the-art cinema room and a luxurious spa suite.
The villa’s splendor extends outdoors, with a furnished terrace and 92-square-metre private pool, plush daybeds, sofas and sun loungers. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to provide guests with exceptional comfort and luxury. Embodying the St. Regis tradition of exceptional service, each luxurious room is accompanied by a dedicated St. Regis Butler who is available to promptly and discreetly attend to every request, day or night.
Opened in November 2016, The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is located on a private island in a secluded Maldivian atoll, surrounded by abundant marine life. A short 45-minute seaplane flight from Male will transport guests to the new paradise of Dhaalu Atoll.
The resort takes inspiration from nature itself. Designed by WOW Architects | Warner Wong Design (Singapore), The St. Regis Maldives’ distinctive contemporary design takes inspiration from the resort’s natural surroundings, including manta ray-shaped lagoon villas, a signature whale shark bar, a lobster-inspired spa and a spiral shell-shaped library.
There are seven unique restaurants, including two Asian specialty restaurants serving up Oriental haute cuisine and Japanese Kaiseki cuisine, an international restaurant serving a wide range of cuisine from Asian to Western flavors, an underground wine cellar, a hut-style restaurant, a signature overwater bar with stunning views of dramatic sunsets, and a Middle Eastern restaurant set inland amidst tropical gardens. In addition, guests can enjoy the Iridium Spa, which features six overwater treatment rooms, two of which are dedicated to soothing Ayurvedic treatments. Spa guests can also enjoy the Blue Hole pool, which features saltwater with a variety of water jets, a system that has been proven to have physical benefits.
